I accidently deleted two friends that had library access. Now when i try to re-instate them, I get the “User already invited” message and can’t click continue or grant them Library access. I see there have been a few posts very similar to this issue in Sept and Apr of this year. Both seem to have been resolved by eventually PMing the user names to A Plex Forum superhero who fixed it. Help Please!!
First determine whether you actually deleted the friends themselves,
or just removed their access permissions to the libraries.
These are separate things now.
Do the user names of your friends still appear in this list: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/friends ?
If they do, tap on them.
Then open the context menu in the following screen, under the vertical ellipsis and “Manage Library Access”.
I think I removed them as friends - they do not show up in my friends list. When I attempt to invite them as a friend -it says they are already invited. If I put their user name in an attempt to manage their access, I get the “User already invited” and can only click Cancel, not Continue.
Oddly enough, I was able to fix the process by going to the plex webpage via my iphone (not the app, and not the PC I had been using) and friend requesting/accepting and then Managing their library access all from there. Idk if it’s some weird cache issue on the PC or what, and it still doesn’t make much sense to me, but ultimately I got it resolved. Thank you.
