I see post after post will little to no reply about this issue. I am aware it means too many attempts have been made and it seems to block the IP for a bit for people outside my home network. How and why is there no way for me to natively unblock the IP again? Plex has NO way to even open a ticket for this. It’s just billing or directed to forums.
My family members in another household can not login anymore with any device.
Let’s get your exact server version, the hardware it runs on, a description of your home network, how well you’ve had remote access working and for how long, when it stopped working well if you noticed that, and a screenshot of your Settings > Show Advanced > Network please.
There are ways to adjust authorization, and a few standard steps to take when logging in to leverage the power of the plex.tv website.
Hello, my girlfriend can log in on her TV, but not her Android phone. Same error regarding authentication and too many attempted logins. Even when she disables wifi and uses her LTE IP, she has the same error. Any advice?
Thank you
Server version - 1.16.6.1592
Server is on Windows PC
Ethernet to router
Her phone has never worked since downloading latest Android version. Her Samsung TV with same IP has always worked.
If your GF is local to you LAN, you can allow connections from that without authentication
in Settings - Show Advanced - Network
Beyond that, I’d read any plex website articles on trouble connecting, authorization,
can’t find the server, etc. Beware though, android mobil is very much in development.
An issue one week might be gone the next. Testing the latest beta is the best way to get
feedback directly to the devs so your issue gets resolved. Betas are only open to
Plex-pass holders.
