User could not be authenticated

After updating my device to the newest android version I can no longer log into my plex account. The username and password are correct and autofilled by google. logging in through chrome works without any issues on the same device, using the same login information. Reinstalling the app doesn’t change anything.

I randomly tried authenticating with my google account, and lo and behold it authenticated me.

Logging in with just username and password works everywhere else, just on my phone it requires me to go through google. Very weird.
