Server Version:

Player Version:

- Apple TV 4K: 8.40 (9370)
Others
Android, Windows and macOS (both Plex for Mac and Plex HTPC) clients, which aren’t concerned by this issue, are also all up to date.
Problem description:
-
Since the release of the new rating and review system, the user star rating / Rate & Review button is nowhere to be seen (should be displayed above the Play button) on the iPad and Apple TV clients. Thus, it is impossible to rate on these platforms.
-
This only occurs if SYNC MY WATCH STATE AND RATINGS is turned on under Account Settings. Turning it off fixes the issue and the user star rating / Rate & Review button is then again displayed correctly but this is obviously not a solution as I want to keep that sync on.
-
Changing the RATINGS & REVIEWS FROM value under Account Settings has no influence on the issue.
-
This problem only occurs on my good old account with a lifetime Plex Pass. I have no other account to experiment with but from discussions I’ve had with other users on Reddit, I can tell they aren’t able to reproduce the issue.
-
Guest and managed accounts don’t suffer the issue. Note that these don’t have SYNC MY WATCH STATE AND RATINGS under Account Setting obviously, thus no synchronisation, thus no problem, as those aren’t real accounts.
More details
My username had a space in it because it apparently was a thing back in 2020. I thought that it may be the cause of the issue if, maybe, it couldn’t be read and synced correctly somehow on those platforms, so I removed it but to no avail, issue’s still here.
Also note that I am aware of and already experienced that recurring bug when the user star rating also wouldn’t be displayed in the prior versions already, but back then you just had to go back and reopen the detail page to fix it. This is no longer a thing as it is now permanent. That being said, the new issue this topic is about may be linked to that bug somehow as the same exact platforms, iPad and Apple TV, are concerned.
Is something wrong with my account, on the backend side of things?
If that is the case, can Plex do anything to fix it, please?
Not sure it can help in this case but here are the logs:
