Issue: Friends share removed after accessing from iOS (iPhone) device
Description:
I have shared my Plex server with several friends under Users & Sharing. When they access via their TV it works at times but other times it shows the server offline. When they try to access it via their iPhone again it works at times or I see the share removed completely when I look at Users & Sharing. The username completely disappears from the share list or the library shared goes to 0 instead of 1 essentially removing access.
When shares have been completely removed in the past it’s always been friends that are using iOS devices. I’m not sure if that’s relevant but figured I would throw it out there.
What Have I Tried:
- When one person is having issues I have verified with other friends to see if they can access the content and they can.
- I stood up a brand new Plex server on Ubuntu Desktop (new hardware as well) and still encounter the same issue.
- Created a new username for the friend and tried to give access through that with no success.
- Created another Plex account and started a new Plex server and had the same issue.
To me this does not seem to be a problem on my side at this point.
Any help would be much appreciated!
