Using Kodi as a Plex Server frontend?

The Plex server is running on a QNAP NAS box. As there is no Plex Media Player for the QNAP, I’ve tried Roku and a custom Samsung TV Smart app (obtained from Plex forums and no longer developed). It’s ok, but not very satisfactorily.

QNAP has just updated their OS and apps, and it seems that it now supports the latest Kodi version.

So, what I would like to know is can I connect Kodi to the Plex server and use Kodi as a media player? If so, how?
