Using Multiple HDHomeruns with Plex DVR and Live TV

Hello,

I have been playing around with this for awhile and I have not be able to get this working. I am hoping to get some insight into what might be causing it. Since acquiring a second HDHomerun Connect tuner my hope was to have 4 tuners for Plex DVR to use and it doesn’t look like it is using them properly. I get an error message after the recordings and even when it says it is recording multiple shows at the same time the HDHomerun is not showing it is. I have attached pictures for reference.

I have also tried watching plex live tv while recording two shows and it tells me I am not able to tune the station even though I have two tuners free. Thoughts on what might be happening? I have attached my logs below.

I am running Plex version 1.9.0.4252 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 x64. Thank you all for your help.

Through other threads logs have been submitted regarding this issue. Plex has replicated the problem and is supposedly working on a fix for the tuner allocation issue. I know in my situation Plex appears to be starting two recordings on device B but displays that it is using device A when you view the DVR settings screen, then when Plex tries to start a recording on device B the device refuses the connection because all of it’s tuners are in use. Really hoping a fix is released this coming week with the Fall TV season starting in one week.

I guess it is still not fixed with 1.91. Not Much of a release… Not even worth the time to update.

I can see a statement referring to a forthcoming release here https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1519239/#Comment_1519239

The multiple tuner devices issue will be fixed in a forthcoming release. You should see it mentioned in the release notes once it’s ready.

In any case it is never known what the next release is because there may be a hot fix release rushed out ahead of a previously planned release

@sa2000 yes saw that yesterday, , simply confirming for others anxiously waiting that it is still not fixed .

I do not think the users experiencing hangs (deadlock issue) would agree with you

Plex Server Version 1.9.3.4290 resolved the issue.
