I've got a few Apple TV's using PlexConnect on the local network. I've got them signed into myPlex all ok, however for some reason its not using these logins to connect to my local PMS (which has "Require authentication on local networks" enabled to force users to be using there myPlex login to stop messing up my watched/unwatched).
When this happens in the log I get:
PlexAPI: The server couldn't fulfill the request. Error code: 401
When i disable the authentication requirement they connect all fine which makes me pinpoint that the error is around the fact it's not using the myPlex login tokens to connect to my server. Am I missing something else in the config?
Ahh ok, I'll be patient then :) Great to see progress towards that has been done though by setting up the logins in the first place!
Using iPad's/iPhone's and airplay is the current method to get the content on the Apple TV's at the moment, but will be great when it can be done on the device natively.
The moment it works am gonna implement PlexConnect at my parents. For now, I don't want them screwing up my watched list. And I don't wanna maintain two Plex Server, so just waiting for MyPlex :) It's gonna rock! :)
