Using Plex to stream internally only

I have just installed Plex on my Terramaster, with a view to storing videos on the Terramaster and using Plex to stream those videos (movies, tv shows etc) solely to devices within my own WiFi network.

I’ve only recently got this set up but it looks to me as if there’s a restriction on the Plex app whereby I can only stream videos for 60 seconds unless I take out a paid-for subscription to Flex.

I’m not planning to share these videos with anyone outside of my WiFi network - I merely want to be able to sit in my living room and use my smart TV to watch movies that are stored on my NAS box which is set up in a different room.

Have I misconfigured something at the NAS side?

Most Plex client/player apps are free (e.g. those for smart TVs, streaming boxes, desktop players). The mobile apps such as Plex for Android and iOS are restricted. You can unlock those apps with a one-time purchase (usually approx 5$).
