Using the Plex app from an Android phone not casting to chromecast

While using the Plex app from my pixel 3 I can play my media just fine. As soon as I try and cast to my Chromecast I get an error on my phone that says “unable to play”. I disconnect from Chromecast and my media starts to play on my phone perfectly. I have no trouble casting to my Chromecast while using my laptop, the feature seems to only break when using my phone.

Same issues here. Had to uninstall and reload an old APK (October) to over come this issue then turn off auto update.

So I’m guessing it has to do with one of the updates?

I would assume so. A quick Google search sites several others having this same issue. I have also had this issue with the web browser. :frowning: Haven’t seen any official word that Plex thinks this is an issue.

I’m only having issues with casting from my phone with the Android app. The website works fine for me. Hopefully they figure out the issue and fix it.

I’m having the same issue, except it doesn’t work from the browser for me either :cold_sweat:
