V.1.41.7.9823 and WD NAS not working

Installed this version today, but the nothing works any more.
It says it is installed correcvtly, but the configuration is not working and the plex player is not finding the server. It just says that the server is uavailable.
Can somebody help, is this a bug in plex server?

Tried now to update to betaversion:
1.41.8.9834, but the problem persists!!!

I got the same issue, I’m sitting at 1.41.6.9685 - that’s the last version that was problem free

is there anyway to get the 1.41.6.9685 version??? so i can roll back

I am having the same issue with plex server version 1.41.7.9823. I tried again today. the install on the server shows to be successful, but you can tell there is an issue as the config option is not available and the plex app does not find the server.

NB: I do not take ane responsibility for this solution (it worked for me), but if anything happens to your NAS or your media libary, it is at own risk.

HOW TO DO A ROLL BACK, TO A VERSION THAT WORKS.

  1. Find out what model of NAS you have (ex. PR4100)
  2. Go to: https://github.com/axlecrusher/plex_download_urls/tree/master/archives
  3. Select the arm or the x86 version (I had to use the x86 version for my PR4100, the arm version gave me an error message)
  4. find the 1.41.6.9685 version (This version workes for me) and download it.
  5. Innstall the file in the admin on the NAS server

OR WAIT FOR A VERSION FROM PLEX THAT WORKS!

I’ve had this same issue the last two updates. No matter what I did, I just could not reconnect to my server. In the end, I figured out that if I went in to the plex app options on the server (by clicking on “Plex Media Server” under Installed apps, the “Run App” option is defaulted to off. When I turn it back to on everything works again.

Thank you!! Your post was extremely helpful. It didn’t occur to me that the app was defaulting to ‘off’ with the last three updates. I kept going back to 9685 to restore my connection. Went into the Plex app on the server, switched to ‘on’, and it fixed the issue.

Good find, crackers. Mine was indeed stopped too. Hit Run and it’s working now.
