Verizon Port number when there are more than one server

Server Version#: Version 4.54.5
Player Version#:N/A
Verizon FiOS: 02.03.00.09

I followed the guide to access both my Plex servers on Synology NAS devices outside my home network.

It said I can have more than one and I should set the port numbers to 32401 and 32402 and 32400 for both in the internal side.

When I try to do this on my Verizon router one works fine but the other will not let me set it and says “Conflicting Port Forwarding Rules: The Destination Ports 32400 service conflict with an existing port forwarding rule offering Destination Ports 32400 service.”

How do I set up Verizon so that I can see both the TV and Movie servers when I am not at home?

First option: (Preferred)
You can set up port forwarding for both servers automatically using UPNP.
On your router, go to Advanced → Universal Plug and Play and set it up as below:

Do not leave the second option enabled
Once this configuration is applied, disable and enable remote access on Plex and it will configure everything by itself.

Second option:
Manual configuration. Create the port forwading as below, changing ONLY the fields 1 and 2.

Plex Server 1 - Destination port 32401 - Forward to port 32400
Plex Server 2 - Destination port 32402 - Forward to port 32400

Once that’s done. Go to Plex Server 1 and on Remote Access, enable Manually specify public port and set it to 32401. On Plex Server 2, 32402.
Apply. Save.

I did have UPNP on. I had noticed that the connection test in Plex would sometimes fail and that either server might show up in the hotel and maybe not.

I followed the instructions, above and did not get the error message this time so I think it will work. Now I just need to try it when I’m on the road again.

Thanks!

Or you can just disconnected your phone from your wifi and play something over 4G. If it works, then it will work anywhere

That’s an idea, but I am capped so streaming media over it is kinda a non-starter.

PS Oh, and I forgot to mention. In the room I use a roku stick.

I don’t mean stream a whole thing, just 10 seconds. If it works, you’re all set.

I didn’t think of that. Thanks for the suggestion.
