Server Version#: Maybe 1.43.0.10492 or maybe 1.43.2.10687
Player Version#:
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>
I was prompted under Activity, to update my server version on my Synology NAS. It said:
“You are currently running version 1.43.0.10492 on the server “CJ-NAS1”. Version 1.43.2.10687 is now available.”
So, I downloaded ver 1.43.2.10687 and installed it. Now my NAS says I’m at version 1.43.2.10687, but I still get the update prompt under Activity.
How to remedy? Thanks.
Change your Server update channel to “Public”.
Thanks, was already set to Public.
Your account shows you have two servers that are the same name. You should be able to see that on your accounts authorized devices page at https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms
One is a Synology that is updated and the other is a Windows server that is 1.43.0.
Ah, why, yes I do. I also seem to have another server on my Synology NAS that’s still at version 1.24.2.4973-2b1b51db9, and that it says I’ve not used for 5 years. Is it safe to delete this one from the Authorized Devices screen?
And is it detrimental to have servers on both my NAS and my Windows computer…?
Yes
No. I have 3 servers. You just need to make sure all are using different external/public ports for port forwarding when setting up remote access. The internal/private port has to be 32400 but the external/public must be different on each. I would also not have them be the same name just to avoid confusion.
Got it - thanks for your help!
