So I’m scrolling through the OTA Live TV grid guide on my Roku to see if there is anything interesting on tonight, and I scroll past a movie named “Countess Dracula” and am shown a preview thumbnail of a topless woman.
What? It’s a low-res picture, but this simply can’t allowed to be shown in this context. I checked IMDB and this is listed as a PG movie. Regardless, the broadcast version wouldn’t have this.
To make it worse, I switch to my child’s managed user account that is restricted to “TV-G, TV-Y, and TV-Y7” and can see this same thumbnail with that account as well.
I know this is an automated process, but this can’t happen!
Yes, the picture you sent is the one that I saw as the preview picture in the grid guide. As you said, it isn’t appropriate for a public post or to be displayed as a preview picture - particularly for a manager user account that has parental controls in place.
Thank you! I’ll do as you suggested and provide feedback on themoviedb.org. This is the first time I’ve had a need to look at the agents, which I have set at the defaults Plex provides. Everything looks appropriate in the settings.
While I now understand the process and why it happened, in a broader view it’s concerning that this can happen when everything is working “as it should”. I can change prioritization, but I can’t deselect TMDB.
That movie now occurs in the past , so I can’t check it’s rating. Your point is good - I hope it was an EPG issue as I have seen the parental controls work in the past.
