VERY slow media search performance

Server Version#: 1.32.5.7328
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.116.1

Hello,

I’ve been running Plex for many years and have really never had any problems that could not be handled by tweaking the GUI settings… NOW HOWEVER…

I have a very perplexing issue:

While using a WEB interface and direct connecting to the server (same subnet, using IP address for the URL) when I try to search for content using the top search bar in the Plex interface, I NEVER get results. Granted, I have only waited 2 - 3 minutes before giving up. I’m able to browse content, play content, edit content, etc. with no issues.

Now, using the same browser and accessing the server via the Internet (using remote proxy forwarding [app.plex.tv] because I’m double NATed) the search results come back VERY quickly.

I’ve used the two troubleshooting items of OPTIMIZE DATABASE, CLEAN BUNDLES to no avail.

Any suggestions or explanations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kos

@ChuckPa thoughts?

Sorry for the delay.

I think it’s time to try a more powerful :gun:

Either the new 1.01.00 or 1.0.13 will work for this.
1.01.00 has new features (self-updating – be cautious)
