Video Buffers and Won't Play

I’m running this on a DS1520+ server, but have had a similar problem running it on an M1 iMac. I have a screen grab program that puts out .mp4 files. Most of them play fine on Plex, but once in awhile it produces a video that buffers, plays for 2 seconds, and buffers again until the show is over, which of course makes the video useless.

The .mp4 plays fine on Mac Quicktime as well as VLC. I tried it on Plex on an iPhone and the video plays fine… Any thoughts?

Possible to get a copy of the player logs a bit after one of those videos starts buffering? and/or a copy of one fo the files that does this.

Off the top of my head I can only think maybe it is not web optimized but not sure.

The player logs are no problem once I figure out how to get them, but the file is over 5G so that will be. But that doesn’t answer the question as to why one output file from this program works and the other doesn’t. It’s just video output from the same program. I’ll look for the logs.

Fixed the problem, but didn’t quite solve it… Since I’ve been editing in Apple’s Quicktime tried splitting up portions of the file and they worked… so I pasted together two portions of the original and that combination worked in Plex. Perhaps my problem is an artifact of editing in Quicktime corrupting the file? We’ll see what happens in the future. Thanks for the reply.
