My Plex server was working fine until last night. This afternoon on the Plex App on my TV I receive a Video did not start playing in time error for all 720p/1080p content I have, some SD content I have still plays.
I can stream fine to my android phone and the same content works fine on the same TV through the DLNA interface, but not through the Plex App on the TV.
Any help in resolving this will be greatly appreciated.
Okay people. I don’t know if this will work for you or not but it worked for me. It’s kind of like a buffer issue. You are timing out on the chosen time to us before it times out. So you just need to go Settings/server/transcoder and then increase your timeouts by double the time now. Then restart your server and try again. That fixed it for me. I have a high speed connection but was still getting that error even though I had a dedicated speed of 160 mbps. The movie was a large file and it didn’t buffer in time in order for the transcoder to covert the movie. Good Luck and I hope this helps because Lord knows, I didn’t find any other solutions on line.
