Video files added a long time ago keep on appearing as "Recently Added"

Server Version#: Current Stable/ Debian
Player Version#: Current Stable (Web Browser)

A few video files added to the library more than 12 months ago and flagged as “watched” keep on appearing at the top of the “Recently Added” list.

Checking the file dates they are consistent with the original dates, i.e. 12 or more months ago. The file modification dates also are not changed.

Is there a way to deal with this unwanted behaviour?

Thanks

Is there are way to

Disable “Empty trash automatically after every scan”.
If this is helping, investigate why Plex is assuming that these files have been deleted.
Usual culprits:

  • spinning down idle hard drives
  • using cloud based media storage

Thanks, but that setting was already as suggested.

Given that the issue is only affecting 3 TV series, this kludge has got me out of trouble -

  1. Backup the offending files/ directories out of PMS’s paths
  2. Using PMS library functions, remove/ delete the items from the library.
  3. Wait until the links are gone from PMS GUI
  4. Restore the directories & files to the library.

The next scan picks them up. As an observation they are now NOT listed as recently added but are in the library index.

Thanks
