Video formats incorrectly showing on TV / Plex Server interface

Server Version#: 1.19.1.2701

TV: Samsung: Q70R
NAS: WD My Cloud EX2

The issue I have since setting up a new TV and new NAS just a week ago is the following. When selecting a movie on the TV via the Plex Media Server interface, most but not all content shows as format .mpg. Only a small number of my movies shows correctly as format .mkv. Note: all movies / series that are stored on the NAS are in .mkv format; no exception.

Being new to working with a NAS and a Media Server, my assumption is that this is related to DLNA protocal info. So what I have done in the Plex Server settings is add http-get::video/mkv:, to the protocol info string. While only some of the videos now show as .mkv format, most of them incorrectly show as .mpg format and refuse to play once selected and started.

Does anyone know how to resolve this? Was I looking in the wrong direction in the first place when turning to the DLNA Protocal Info? Full string now reads as follows:

DLNA Protocol info:

http-get::video/mkv:,http-get::video/mpeg:,http-get::video/mp4:,http-get::video/vnd.dlna.mpeg-tts:,http-get::video/avi:,http-get::video/x-matroska:,http-get::video/x-ms-wmv:,http-get::video/wtv:,http-get::audio/mpeg:,http-get::audio/mp3:,http-get::audio/mp4:,http-get::audio/x-ms-wma,http-get::audio/wav:,http-get::audio/L16:,http-get:image/jpeg:,http-get:image/png:,http-get:image/gif:,http-get:image/tiff:

Thanks
