Video frame freezes within a few seconds after seeking, audio and subtitles continue

Server Version#: 1.32.8.7639
Player Version#: 10.7.0.5386 (3680095)
(android TV box: MiBox S)

Only with one particular TV show, only on the MiBox, and only if playing original quality. Asking the server to transcode fixes the issue, but that usually means downgrading the quality because the only options are like 720p, and horribly crunchy from the lower bitrate it wants to transcode to.
The video feed continues to move for about a second after seeking (about the same amount of time as it takes the controls window to auto-close), then freezes up. The audio and subtitles continue to play as normal, and I can seek around and it’ll load the new frames, only to lock up a second afterwards.
I assume it’s a damaged video file of some sort that ONLY the android TV version of plex hates, as it plays just fine through the web app, VLC, and the android phone app.

did some testing before posting
Yes, it appears to be an issue with the exact files used. Re-transcoding them with handbrake to be practically identical allows them to playback perfectly on android TV.
The particular files exhibiting the error are Judas’ repack of Jujutsu Kaisen Season one

I am personally just going to Batch transcode all the files, but I felt I should put this out there to be looked into as it may be that the android TV playback engine isn’t as fault-tolerant, or may have an actual error in how it handles certain edge cases, and would be nice if it was more consistent across all devices.
