Looks like a couple of posts regarding malformed XML issues:

TV Shows returning malformed XML metadata

Server Version#: 1.13.9.5439 Player Version#: N/A Certain TV Show metadata is returning malformed XML with duplicate leafCount and viewedLeafCount attributes. See the link below for an example. This causes XML parsing errors for certain applications. From our (Tautulli) testing, the bug seems to be occuring for DVR shows on PMS 1.13.9.5439.

Not sure if this is relevant for this specific scenario but this maybe a symptom of this issue… Also this post…

The only thing to do at this point is to wait for an updated version of the server.

Are you running 1.13.9 by any chance?
