Video jumps one millisecond further or a small part is missing

Server Version#: Version 1.29.2.6364
Player Version#: 9.10.1.36024

I started a Tv Show and had the problems that the picture jumped for a fraction every few seconds. Or the image stops very briefly and then jumps further. I don’t know how to describe it exactly but I would have a video of it. The problem is somehow with the Android TV app. I have tested it via the IOS app (Iphone & Ipad) and no problems. So it is also not on the medium itself.

It’s Direct Play. I have also tested it with transcode. Same error here. I don’t have it with other media, so I’ve noticed it now for the first time exclusively with this broadcast.

Are there perhaps already similar experiences?
Thanks for help

A judder every few seconds sounds like a mismatch between the frame rate of the video file and the frame rate of the display.
Try activating “Refresh Rate Switching” in the settings of the Plex app.

I have found a settings which it could be. But has not changed anything. This is called in german “Wiederholrate umschalten”. translates as “switch repetition rate”. Is that the attitude?

Yes, that’s the one.

Okay, do I need to restart the app after activation? Because I had the same error even after activation.

That’s normally not necessary. What kind of player is this?

Plex App from the Store - Android TV on a Phillips Smart TV (2021).

Please enable both
server debug logs (NOT “verbose”)
and
client debug logs. https://support.plex.tv/articles/201573117-android-android-tv-fire-tv-logs/

Then play an affected video for ~1 minute
then fetch both logs, please.

zip them up and upload them here.
Bonus points for posting the plex media info of the video as well.

Hope this helps

@OttoKerner Any idea why this happens?

Sorry, no. I can only relay this as a bug.

But Philips TV have been behaving sometimes “different” than the rest of the bunch.

Okay
