Video playback choppy on Mac OS Plex Player

Good morning,

I have a brand new Apple M4 Max Macbook Pro 16” with 40 graphics cores and 48GB RAM running Plex Media Player, and a new Apple Mac Mini M4 Pro with 20 graphics cores and 24GB RAM running Plex Media Server. Since the upgrade to MacOS Tahoe, I’ve noticed that every 20 or so seconds playback on the Macbook Pro becomes very choppy for about 2-3 seconds, regardless of the media type, size and encoding.

Is this a known issue that will be fixed? Is there anything i can do to fix the playback?

Have the exact same issue. I now use infuse and link it to Plex. Infuse plays it perfect, so going to keep using that until the app finally gets sorted.

Also, playing media via Plex through the browser plays perfect, so just the app that seems to be the issue.
