Ok after much work I’m unable to figure out the reason for this.
Playing any .mkv file on my windows box will cause the video to drop frames but the audio will play fine. If I open the file with the windows default player through a share it will play fine. It also plays fine using plex on my Samsung TV.
I have plenty of bandwidth to play the file over the network (10G connection to the nas from my pc). I have plenty of system power Intel Nuc Hades Canyon with 32g ram. The cpu load is less then 30% with the video card load at about 10% for the hardware decoding.
I have turned hardware decoding both on and off. This happens in both the web app and the desktop app.
I hope someone can help with this as I’m a bit frustrated.
