Videos in "Extras" folders showing up in Movies Folder with Garbage Cans on them

I’ve been using Plex for a few years, have a substantial collection of movies, music, and tv shows, and I have been adhering to the naming conventions to prevent what is being shown in the screenshot below. This appears to have started happening after the last update (to Version 1.41.5.9522).

Can anyone explain what is happening, and more importantly, how to fix it? I have already tried moving the “Extras” folder to a non-Media location – which fixes the problem, but then puts those extras beyond the reach of my server, defeating the purpose.

→ Naming & Organizing Your Movie Files
→ Local Files for Movie Trailers and Extras

Please show how you have the files named & organized - directory listing, screenshot, etc.

“Extras” not a supported folder name.
