Android mobile player won’t play any videos with SRT subtitles turned on while on cellular data. I have quality forced to 480p while on cellular forcing a transcode. Wheel spins indefinitely waiting for video to start.
Gonna need more details and potentially logs. I’m not able to reproduce this problem.
If your quality setting is lower than the file, then PMS will burn in those subtitles. Could be your server i shaving trouble burning them in. Do you see the same issue when not using cellular and lowering the quality force the subtitles to get burned in?
I got it working by turning off automatically adjust quality. Leaving that on causes the wheel to spin indefinitely. So looks ok for now.
Thanks for the info. There was another user having an issue with the auto adjust setting too. I wasn’t able to reproduce. If you can reproduce and send me a log from both the app and PMS, that would be helpful.
