I need to do some major cleanup as I merged 2 sources onto my NAS. If a video has 2 different copies (example movie.mpeg and movie.avi) neither will play from the browser or Plex app (Android, FireStick, etc.). It’s like it doesn’t know which one to pick. Is there a way to present the option of selecting which one or defaulting to one type in this situation? I have over 250 videos that are failing for this reason. Thanks!!

Having 2 copies of a movie should not stop the video from playing. There must be something else going on. Can you provide the “plex media server.log” file right after trying to play a video. See my signature for the support article on how to find the log file.
