Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156 Fedora Linux
Player Version#: 5.93.2 Vizio Smartcast
Vizio D70-F3 Smartcast TV will not load ONLINE cover art or posters. All server side cover art and posters load fine on this TV. Only the “Movies and Shows”, Rentals, etc and online posters do not load. Only see the text. Actor pictures do not always load on my stored media either. A random poster will show up.
I have reset the Vizio TV and reinstalled the latest firmware. I have a lifetime Plex Pass subscription and have been a Plex user for several years now with no problems whatsoever.
I have a second Roku TV and the Plex client on it works fine. Tablets and other devices do as well. My network is ethernet hard wired connected to Fiber internet. I have done all the trouble shooting checks I could find online. I have had communication with Vizio support and they say to contact Plex.
After intensive troubleshooting I wonder if it is an outdated TV Plex version that is no longer compatible with the online metadata providers. Below is a few lines from the logs that I selected from debug that are suspect. The tv client was brought logged into at 14:19 Z time.
The loopback error message I am working on but I do not feel it pertains to the TV App problem. I cannot really find anything that would alert me to the TV problem
If I cannot fix this I will probable just purchase an Nvidia Shield Pro and connect it to my Onkio AV receiver HDMI. Hopefully on sale for black Friday.
Thanks in advance and best regards, lwiederholt
