I just purchased a new 24" Vizio e series TV for my kitchen. One of the reasons I bought it is because it says it has the Plex app. Well, after loading the app it now says that only Plex Pass Subscribers can sign in / use it. I have a regular Plex account, why can I not use it to log in? This is the reason I bought this TV, but not being able to use the Plex app makes this useless to me.
It’s the same with the Ipad App: Buy a subscription to view your content. I rather buy a one-time APP than a subscription.
My Samsung TV came with Plex, I did not have to pay for the software, it seems that Samsung pay for it.
