As noted in this thread:
The vizio smartcast player cannot identify the chipset for the TV, it shows up as (Unknown (3)). This is likely causing issues with regards to decoding profiles. I’m happy to do any testing necessary to fill in this information, but I’m not sure on how to sideload apps onto this TV. Would also be interested in experimenting to see if we can enable dolby vision support on this TV.

It is! Thank you. I still can’t play 10bit avc files or anything with Dolby vision. I have series of test files i can provide feedback on to help narrow things down. I have been successful getting some MEL single-stream dolby vision files packaged in MP4 and .TS to play off the USB stick.
I’ll double check the 10bit AVC. We’re definitely limiting to 8bit for that model, but I don’t remember if I tested that or just missed it when setting up the profile.
Please keep in mind that getting something to play on the USB stick doesn’t mean we can make it direct play in the app. The TV might be capable of handling it, and it might play via USB or over HDMI but that doesn’t mean it supports streaming it in apps.
With that said, if you can get me some Dolby Vision test files I’d be happy to try them out and see what happens. I do believe I tested some DV content and it wasn’t able to get it to direct play.
