VLC Plex server black screen

Server Version#:1.43.0.10492
Player Version#:VLC 3.7.2 (Plex app sucks)
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

Server setup and ported off a NAS. Worked flawless for months. Today I have the issue of being able to login and select my media I want to play. Except now it just pulls up a black screen with title of file and that’s it.

Assuming this is because of the Scamscription they’re requiring for remote playing now that I wasn’t able to find until I logged into their actual website. Anyone have any idea if this is the case or recommendations that doesn’t ask for my wallet on my self hosted server that I’m able to port externally.

Edit: Forgot LOG file

That sounds like something you might want to check in the VKC forum. Their app is a (generic) DLNA client which can connect to a Plex Media Server if you’ve enabled its DLNA server feature.

As far as DLNA is involved, there’s no „remote“ streaming. DLNA is by definition a local network streaming protocol. There’s no server-side optimization or transcoding… it’s just passing the raw file along for the client to play (if it supports that container and the codecs of the various included tracks).
