I’m running PMS on my Synology DS916+. All my movies are in *.mkv with all the subtitles attached. When I turn the VOBSUB subtitles on they don’t work. They used to. They don’t work no matter what the player, Samsung Smart TV, iOS, Chromecast, Chrome on MS Windows 10. I can try the downloaded subtitles from OpenSubtitle.org and IF those work, they aren’t timed correctly (not really shocked about that). Did Plex drop VOBSUB Subtitle support in lieu of OpenSubtitle.org? I’m having this problem on ALL my media. When subtitles are selected to play and the movie is playing, the dashboard of Plex shows Subtitles–>VOBSUB but there are no subtitles on the player.
I’ve checked several of my mkv files and the languages are set appropriately for the audio and the subtitles. There are over 1200 movies so checking them all isn’t really an option until I can at least get a couple of them to work. But as of now, none of them work and the ones that I have confirmed the language settings don’t work.
Also, In the Languages section I have Subtitle Mode set to “Shown With Foriegn Audio” and the “Automatically select audio and subtitle tracks” box is checked. This doesn’t work either.
