Volume amplification needed

Server Version#:4.152.0
Player Version#:4.152.0

Player Volume Audio settings only has Normalize Multi-channel Audio and most videos have issue with Audio being to low and hard to here.
Kodi managed to build Volume amplification in there player

So it should be posable to build within the plex player. Why was this setting never done for player settings.

Commenting to keep this alive. I too would like to have a much louder experience.

i support this request too. plex player has to be able to raise its volume over 100%. for example when a video/audio source is quiet or not all channels are supported. It may not be possible to raise overall device or system volume because other audio sources can get too loud. for example laptop or multi app/screen setup.

VLC is able to raise its volume up to 200%. I dont care about minimal quality loss.

workaround: using the web player i can use browser extensions to amplificate volume of the plex web player tab. but this is dependent on the browsers supported codecs, and these are much less than the plex player app supported codecs.

Workaround: use Plex HTPC

Workaround: to use Plex HTPC method is not user friendly and will not work for all platform we need a permeant solution that will work for all devices and platforms that is 100% not a workaround.

Bump.

I’ve also seen so many posts about this and have had this issue personally, yet no one at Plex seems to care. It’s crazy that something every other application seems to handle just fine becomes impossible on Plex.

Not sure if it’s still worth anything, but you can try upvoting this ( Global Audio Boost and Normalization ) to help get more exposure
