Volume control android app does not nothing

When playing plex on my android 13 device I cannot change the audio volume. It happens only with plex, as soon as a use a external player for plex the audio control works again.

The audio is playing at a stuck level and cannot be changed. Even turning the volume all the way to muted is being ignored, the volume remains the same.

On the server side logs i see nothing that would inidcate a issue with transcoding. Also when direct playing the movies/series the problem is present.

Same issue on Android 12L on a Surface Duo 1st gen. Volume works in all other apps but when in Plex, when using either the on screen slider or hardware buttons, you see the slider go up and down, but no change in volume on what’s playing in Plex.
