I agree with this shout out, using Plex for more than six years with a great pleasure, from phones, pads, computers, web clients, and so on, and sharing all this pleasure with kids, family, friends…
One client is installed on a Mac mini directly connected to a video projector. It is only controlled via an Apple remote and this is great to watch every kind of movies on big screens.
This had worked perfectly fine with Plex Home Theater. But, for the last four years, it has been stick to OpenPHT, only because Plex Media Player does not let to control directly the volume while playing. Why on earth this setting could not be allowed?
The eternal problem of 5.1 to stereo mixdown, mixed with the fact that children are often sleeping while watching Michael Bay explosions force to constant volume adjustments. Which is still impossible, four years after the release of PMP, and makes this software unusable.
This has been asked for a long time without any answer. With the recent turmoil about PMP & Plex TV mode, it has been suggested to start new threads with current issues.
So, let’s hope that the fortunate news to pursue PMP, TV mode & other great Plex features will allow to solve this so ludicrous trouble.
