I must say that i am amazed about PlexConnect and i am loving it!!!
I just compete all the settings and installation and it's working great.
i just need 2 more steps to make it perfect:
1.The first step is the Terminal windows - as i understand i need to keep the terminal process open to keep it running all the time . my question: is there a way to make it in the background or something? i know i can right click on the terminal app and press "Hide" but in this way the terminal is still open.
2. VPN : i have an ibVPN account for using websites in the US like HULU form outside of the US.
is there a way first to make only the AppleTV to use this VPN and not sharing the VPN from my mac to the appleTV? i don't want to keep my mac connected to the VPN but i don't care that the AppleTV will be all the time connected to it. (I know there are some routers that have the ability to sign VPN service only to Specified IP but i don't have this router)
Also if there is no way and i must use the VPN sharing from the mac , will it conflict with the PlexConnect? and if so is there something i can do about it?

Yes, rename the plexconnect.py to plexconnect.pyw, it will run without the visible window
I was talking with unblock-us VPN provider and they gave me a manual for the Apple TV.
As you can see from the manual it involve changing the DNS . But if I will change the DNS my plexconnect will not work any more (as it need to have the same IP address as my Mac running the plexconnect)
From unblock-us:
On Apple TV, go the Settings > General > Network
Select Wi-Fi for wireless network or Ethernet if you have wired connection. For wireless network you’ll have to select Wi-Fi network and may need to enter Wi-Fi password (if you didn’t do it before)
Go to Configure DNS and switch it to Manual
Enter following numbers and click “Done”:
Preferred DNS server 208.122.23.22
Alternate DNS server 208.122.23.23
Confirm on “Network” screen the DNS address is the numbers you entered (leading zeros will be omitted).
Go the Settings > General > iTunes Store > Location
Select United States
Return back to main screen
Put the Apple TV to sleep with the Sleep Now command in Settings
Unplug the Apple TV power cord
Wait ten seconds
Plug the Apple TV back in
