Plex Cloud isn’t working to well for me and my local PMS is old enough to retire, so I jumped in and purchased a KVM VPS from SSDNODES and an unlimited Google Drive account. This solution sounds amazing b/c I need to backup all of our family photo and videos and I want to get all of that in to the cloud.
The issue I’m facing is that the newly installed PMS on the VPS is not showing up in my server list. Any idea what’s going on?
On a side note, I used a handful of different guides on how to properly set up the VPS. I went through this process no less than 8 times. I finally found this guide that worked the best: https://techperplexed.blogspot.com/search/label/infinite%20plex
Did you tunnel to the server via SSH to log into your Plex account, as shown in the guide?
This is ridiculous but the only way I could get it to work was to install an X GUI on the server, then install Chrome over SSH, then VNC into the server. After I logged in, I had to open plex and walk through setting it up ‘locally’. Then… it worked!

Strange… There must have gone something wrong before, since the normal route normally works perfectly fine.
