I had recreated a new VM for plex, and I want to get it setup but there’s absolutely no way to do this… Just keeps telling me to “Install plex”, but it’s already installed. I cleared out recent activity and signed in accounts and nothing helps… I went through steps to delete all folders related to plex and even recreated another Vm for setting this up and still same issue… I don’t have access to the old vm as it long gone…
Are you opening the Plex web app locally from within the VM (or the VM’s local IP address)? In order to complete the installation and to link the server to your account you need to access it through the bundled version of Plex Web.
