i am using rasplex 0.4.1 with my PMS (current pass version 9.11.5) - mostly with the spotify2 plugin which works great streaming on Android, IOS or Laptop. When i try to cast the stream to rasplex it seems to completely stall sometimes not being able to playback a further single song unless complete hard reboot.

can anyone tell me if there is a workaround as release cycles of rasplex seem very slow to me....

Suggest you raise this in the appropriate Channel sub forum as this is not a Rasplex issue as can be seen from the error you see.
What do you suggest for releases, one per day, once per week, there's no point in releasing anything unless it contains fixes for known issues, there are none, or new functionality, there is only Plex Home and Playlists that are new since the last release, and this has only just gone live. Remember, many of the Plex clients still don't have trailers and extras!!!!
A new release is being worked on at the moment and it wil be ready when it's ready!

Have you tried casting from Plex HT on a Mac/PC, do you get the same error?
Edit: Just noticed that the Spotify channel is unsupported, many of these give different results on different devices.
