Warning: iTunes playlists xml no longer supported in Catalina

It’s official. For someone like myself, who uses iTunes to import my 100+ playlists into Plex, warning that if you update to Catalina on your sever, that if you upgrade, the new Apple Music app will not export a separate xml file so it can be read by Plex. I won’t be upgrading my Plex server to Catalina yet. Anyone else have a good playlist management system?

Apparently you can manually export the XML from the Catalina Music app. You can see how in this video:

Not knowing anything about the Plex XML iTunes interface all I can do is hope this helps.

As a workaround you can manually do it by exporting the iTunes library.xml from itunes and replacing it with the one on your filesystem.
