Using this logic, Plex should just remove music playback entirely from the Smart TV and streaming device platforms and require users to utilize mobile apps for audio playback.

No, you are wrong. You obvoiusly have no idea about playing surround sound 5.1 channel music. You probably donât even know that such a music exists. Your telephone and itâs apps are useless for playing high quality music. Controlling devices is no problem, decoding is. And player support for surround coding is another problem. There is not many players, which support that. Of coarse you can use your computer to play music directly, but this is not convenient at least.
Not to forget Lyrics on occasions.
I guess congratulations are in order. Your answers are getting VERY marginally less stupid.
I also use the big screen for music, itâs connected to everything. just simplest. And you get information about the song and nice album art. I see it quite natural to use the screen for playing music.
Thanks for the warning ottawan! I thought that burning thing was a thing from the past on plasma TVs.
Indeed I reported this Jan 3rdâŠ
There are a few things I find absolutely astoundingâŠ
First and foremost, this really IS a problem.
And much like @ottawan2002_yahoo_com has statedâŠ
Here is a question⊠Why would I NOT play music via Plex, which has all of my digital music in a library, and is connected to my dirty great big powerful AVR ???
Yes, in the topic I opened I did state that I donât own an OLED, and what did someone say???
âthe amount of bumps for not even owning an OLEDâŠâ
Wow! ⊠Ya try to do the right thing by reporting a problem, and ya get people saying stuff like that!
