Trying to play youtube video’s from the “watch later” section gives following error: “Something went wrong playing your media.”
I’m using the iOS app. Suggestions?
YouTube has changed the internal format of a lot (most/some) of their videos. On the Roku the YouTube videos mostly used to direct play but now most require transcoding. The Roku (at least mine) handles this automatically. That is it attempts to direct play and, when that fails, it restarts with transcoding. This work well most of the time.
It is possible that the iOS app is having similar problems but cannot recover correctly.
I would suggest that you try, if there is a way, forcing transcoding of the misbehaving YouTube videos.
