Just got a shield and getting it all set up. Wasn’t planning on setting up the Plex Media Server on the device itself, just using the app to stream from my main Plex Media Service. So, the list of support for Live TV says Android TV, and this is Android TV. I can set up recordings from my PC via the web app, watch Live TV, etc., so I know it works, but I don’t see any option to watch live TV or do recordings using the Plex app on my shield. I’m logged in as the main user account. Is there something I need to set up somewhere?
I don’t have one to test but you can probably use hdhr viewer if you use HD homerun
Yeah, I do have that, but it doesn’t do pause and full DVR unless you pay the $35 per year fee. I can at least get live TV through it, but I’d like to be able to pause too!
Ok, well, looks like I just wasn’t patient enough. A couple updates were installed and now there it is!
