I assume everyone experiences this, but when we start watching an ongoing recording and the recording session ends (we’re obviously not caught up to live yet) and commercial removal begins, we get kicked out of the playback session and have to wait for commercial removal to complete to start the DVR recording from our library and skip ahead to the location we were at.
It makes sense why this would happen, but I just wanted to get confirmation that this happens to everyone, because it’s annoying. Also, (hint, hint) if Plex were to maintain the original recording when removing commercials, they could just keep the original on the playback buffer and remove it after the playback session ended (like a normal live tv session) or save a backup if configured to do so by the admin.
