Watching live tv that is being recorded

I started watching live TV while it was recording on my nu8000. It gave me the option to start from the beginning, so I did. When trying to timeshift ahead it went back a few minutes. When the plex was done recording it buffered. Not entirely unexpected. Even after the recording was finished, timeshifting resulted in the same jump back by a few minutes. Hitting a second time puts you at the same spot as the first jump.

I am assuming it has something to do with the chapter Mark’s being set by comskip. I do have the DVR set to remove commercials.

I get a similar problem … on 3.92.3 (in fact, since 3.92.1) when I start watching a Live TV program that’s recording it begins OK.

But when I skip ahead (to skip the part before the program actually starts) I get the “buffering” icon and it never comes back. So essentially, I can’t skip ahead for any LiveTV program that’s recording.

This is in the UK, watching UK HD broadcast on Freeview (h.264 video, AAC_LATM stereo audio).

@sLumpy is this bug on your radar?

When I select “watch from the beginning” of a show that is recording it does not run from the beginning. When I try to rewind it just starts from the point that the first play started, and not from the beginning. Is anyone else having this problem? I have this problem on FireTV Stick (2nd Gen), and Nvidia Shield.

I noticed yesterday that it will happen with any show that is not being recorded, when one is in the process of being recorded.Plex Media Server.4.log (5.0 MB)
