I have recently bought a WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra.
I had hoped to run the Plex server app to watch Movies on my Panasonic TV which I have Plex viewer installed on. I also have a HD Home run which I can use to record TV programmes to the My Cloud.
I had used Plex on my TV to watch video content stored on my PC running a Plex server and that had proved quite successful.
After 4 days of trying to install and run Plex server on the My Cloud EX2 Ultra has been a failure. It would seem that lots of others have had the - “No soup for you! The server you’re trying to access doesn’t want to let you in. Make sure you’re signed in as a user with access to this server.”
No one seems to be able to come up with an answer and am assuming that the Plex server does not run on my version of My Cloud, although I have seen several YouTube videos where people have achieved it on other WD NAS devices.
I dont know if anyone sees my questions I have posted but no one replies and support seems to be non existent.
I doubt that I will continue with trying to get this to work and accept that I have wasted my money.
I’ve run plex on both ex2ultra and ex4100, they should both work. Both devices are qualified in QA testing that I do with WD as well, so they should work without issue. I’ll do a sanity test tomorrow to be sure.
im having issues where the my cloud ex2 ultra is telling me that the files can no longer be found after upgrading to the newest plex server any help

I just cannot seem to connect to the Plex server, if it is running on my EX2Ultra. I get the “No soup” error message when I click on Configure in the EX2 Ultra dashboard… I wonder if there is anything in the setup that is preventing me connecting to it? I f you are running it on OK then I am at a loss as to what I am doing wrong.
I have tried connecting via my browser - :32400 and I get a message - This application is at and is not hosted by Plex. Continue only if you recognize this server and wish to grant access.
I can login to my Plex account and can access the online content from apex but cannot add the, I get a screen to install per server on my PC.
If the server is running on the EX Ultra then it is appearing off line or it’s a permissions issue. I seem to be running around in circles!
