Anyone have a spare coupon code they’re not gonna use? Used mine to buy the Wireless 2TB because the 3TB was out of stock. Trying to order 3TB now and my code now shows as invalid (possibly one-time use only?). Thanks!
The code is one time use only. I did not even get to use my code here in the US. I also get the “Invalid code” So if someone had an extra, I would love to use that.
It would be good to get some info.
I would have thought It should not be that hard for western digital to make the code acceptable in the non us stores.
but what do I know, i’m just a web developer
I’m not sure there is anyone from Plex that reads these. I don’t know though. I still can’t use the code that was provided to me in the US. And now, WD is out of stock on all the PR4100 models. I feel even worse for the people in the UK.
I am not using Plex much because of transcoding issue with my Synology (I travel A LOT for work) and I am thinking to maybe migrating to Synology Video Station. When I have seen the news for the WD NAS I was so happy and thought it would be a good time to updrage my NAS but the promo code does not work for France/Belgium

Is there anyone from Plex who reads these comments? If so is there any chance of getting a valid code for the WD UK store?

If you saw an earlier post in this thread from a Plex Ninja, the problem is on WD’s end, not Plex’s.
Well, thatnk you fore the code. Problem is I cannot use it. I login, put the WD nas to cart, put in the code, get discount. When I click next, I have to login again - which I do, and then - the discount is gone. When I try to put the code back in, it says invalid code. Apparently the order is waiting in limbo on WD server, because if I wait an hour or so, the code is valid again - but I fail again on the next step ordering.
I tried to call WD sotre support, get some guy on the line named “Harry” with a heaviest Indian accent I ever heard. Tried to explain him the issue, guy tried to sell me the NAS for full price, I was simply not able to explain him what I want - that I have a code for discount but I am not able to finish the order because their shop is a goddamn mess.
It is nice that Plex is sayinig NOT OUR FAULT, but you should at least provide us with some contact for able sales rep support. If I will have to deal with the Indian guy again, I will probably break my phone…
I got a code as many others, but to no use, as the items were out of stock until the code expired!
It looks like this promotion ended up with some badwill instead goowill?
Unfortunately the promotion did end on July 31st. I do not know where the person that mentioned the extension got their information from, but the codes do not work anymore.
I’m sorry you weren’t able to take advantage of the promotion.
If I understand correct, there were only very few that were able to take advantage of the promotion due to problems with the code in the first place and unavailability of the products after that.
Instead of creating goodwill for both Plex and WD, which I assume was the goal for the promotion, we now ended up with a lot of persons that are pissed. Good job!
Btw, if I remember correct (cannot find the tread), the person talking about the extension was a WD guy.

And no, the promotion didn’t end! I tested by just adding an item that were in stock and entered the code.
Pity that the item I want to buy isn’t in stock…
Plex does apologize for the mix up with the initial release of the codes. We had hoped more people could take advantage of the promotion but the demand just exceeded the supply.
Can you tell me which country store you looked at? I’ve tried applying our discount codes and am not able to get any of them to work. It may be that a specific store is still accepting the promotional codes, but in general, they do not work.
