I’ve bought a brand new sealed box western digital my home cloud, the single bay one. It was meant to come with Plex, and with DVR built in. I can’t seem to get any of the published instructions on how to set it up from the start but nothing seems to follow the examples, it’s like there’s no built in FTP, or http config page or anything, all I can do is use the app to setup the built in picture and video could (which I’m disappointed as it said it was a could not only a media cloud) and to get the basics of Plex setup, but when I try to setup the DVR it goes to add the tuner but it just keeps flashing between the first two actions and never completes setup.
I also can’t manage the user access or accounts as the webpage based config won’t load it just comes up with a fault page.
Can anyone help me over the phone with a step by step guide as to how to setup the DVR successfully and even better would be if someone could give me their WhatsApp number to call who could then talk me through upgrading the WD my home cloud to OS5 from OS3 so that I start from scratch but this time with the base software working fully.
Please please can someone help, I’m a single disabled woman who has used my last savings to get this cloud with built in Plex server and DVR, I need to be able to get it setup and working, and I’d be so grateful if someone can actually chat to me over WhatsApp call to talk me through as i get confused following lists of instructions as I’m on a lot of pain relief for stage 3 kidney disease, not a sob story just explaining why over WhatsApp call much more possible for me.
