I just picked up a WD MyCloud Home 4TB drive. Transferred some files and tried it out, was not impressed with the speed at which the files loaded or the semi frequent buffering.
I then tried to map the drive so I could run the Plex server on my main machine and use the WD for file hosting, seems as though WD has removed the ability to map the network drive so I can not point my Plex library to the hosted files… Has anybody had luck getting the MyCloud Home to work in this way?
I managed to get this configured the other night, in my computer I just created a share and pointed it to \IP\Share i.e. \192/168.1.90\Public, this then appears as a new shared folder.
