Plex can’t see directories past MYCLOUD shares

I’m running a Plex Server on WD MyCloudEX2 Ultra. When adding Folders to point to media to populate Plex libraries, it can only see MyCloud shares. How do I get Plex to “see” a root directory or other network attached storage devices beyond MyCloud shares? In the picture there is no root c:\ or other network locations. My other NAS and laptop c:\ drive are shared on the network but Plex can’t “see” them.

IIRC the operating system of the WD MyCloud platforms is based on Linux. If their admin interface doesn’t offer an option to mount a network drive, you might be able to create a SSH connection and manually mount it using the related Linux commands.

That being said… based on WD‘s documentation they don’t officially support this and the related knowledge article states that any „persistant change“ to the default configuration will be removed on the next reboot of their system — not sure if this applies to a manual mount / addition to their /etc/fstab

Yes it does. Mounts aren’t persistent and using SSH commands voids the warranty as well. So beware.
